Father's Day Brunch
We went to the California Cafe in Los Gatos for Father's Day brunch. I was intrigued by the kids bento box on the restaurant website and decided not to bring lunch for the girls. Well, I did bring blueberries, raisins and homemade cheese crackers, just in case. After taking a closer look at the menu, I realized that there really weren't that many items on the menu the girls would like, even though there were much healthier options than other kids menus I've seen. We ended up getting cheese calzone, carrot and celery sticks, tortilla chips, and melon for one girl and cheese quesedilla, romaine lettuce, smashed potato, banana and strawberry for the other girl. The kids' plates arrived more than one hour after we arrived at the restaurant and it didn't come in bento boxes. (The restaurant did feel bad about it and didn't charge us for it.) The girls were only interested in the colorful tortilla chips, melon, banana and the bread plate. The cheese crackers and raisin I brought was useful. It was not a very successful outing and I was glad that the girls ate well for breakfast.

Dinner
Fried rice with zucchini, carrots, sweet pea, corn, Taiwanese sausage and eggs
Blueberries and watermelon
